Presenting: Albin Eriksson, Chief Product Officer
Albin doesn't just understand AML, he translates regulatory complexity into world-class product design.
Albin’s background
Albin brings extensive hands-on experience from the regulatory side of AML and sanctions compliance. Before joining Soap Labs, he worked as a subject matter expert across a wide range of AML and sanctions projects for both large Nordic banks and smaller financial institutions. Across these engagements, his work has covered areas such as customer risk classification, transaction monitoring, PEP and sanctions screening, and model risk management. He has guided organisations through the full lifecycle of model governance, from development and implementation to testing, validation, and regulatory alignment.
Built from the compliance trenches
What sets Albin apart is that he has lived the problems Soap Labs is built to solve. He has seen firsthand how legacy systems force compliance teams into manual workarounds, how rigid risk models fail to capture the nuances regulators increasingly demand, and how the gap between what technology promises and what compliance teams actually need continues to widen. That experience is what drives the product today.
As Chief Product Officer, Albin translates deep domain expertise into product decisions, ensuring that every feature Soap Labs builds is grounded in the real workflows and pain points of AML professionals. The result is a platform designed not just by engineers, but by someone with firsthand experience of the challenges it’s built to solve.
