Albert’s background

With over 20 years of systems development experience, Albert brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and proven ability to architect products from the ground up. Before joining Soap Labs, he served as Chief Architect at Platform24, Sweden’s leading digital healthcare platform. Albert was there from day one, designing and building the platform from scratch, then scaling it to adoption by 19 of Sweden’s 21 healthcare regions.

At the frontier of AI & software engineering

But what truly sets Albert apart is what he’s been doing at the frontier of AI and software engineering. He’s the creator of Moatless Tools, an open-source framework for using large language models to edit code in large, real-world codebases. The project has gained significant traction, used by researchers at Stanford and OpenAI, and consistently ranked among the top performers on the SWE-bench leaderboard, the industry-standard benchmark for AI coding agents. He has co-authored a research paper building on the framework, which has been accepted at ICLR, one of the most prestigious AI conferences in the world.

Albert is widely regarded as one of the leading AI-for-code developers in Sweden, and at Soap Labs he channels that expertise into building our next-generation AML platform — making sure the technology under the hood is as smart and robust as the compliance challenges it’s designed to solve.
